Alexander West – Granny Grenade
The color palette of Jamaica’s Hills is Red, Gold & Green.
Jamaica is a strange land of many talents, & Mr. West is one of those unique voices that we are blessed to have on a riddim. Cutting edge & unique, with a deep respect for roots & culture.
The witty song tells the story of a wicked grandmother, punishing her grandson for sneaking into the kitchen & eating up the fish. Unconfirmed, but widely believed that it’s based on a childhood memory.
Alexander West passed away a year after this video was shot.
